This is Ruby the Hatchet's best album so far. Not only are the songs absolutely killer, but it's the first album they've made in which Jillian's vocals aren't buried in the mix. She has an amazing voice, so it's wonderful to be able to finally hear her in full!

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points. This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+...

It's been ages since a band has truly blown my mind!! Honestly, I didn't know much about them until a few months ago, after their live performance was a revelation, they catapulted my mind to another world. Hope to see them live again soon and can't fucking wait some new stuff!
